The Theory of Holes Leads Here
Understanding the reality of the Theory of Holes eventually brings us to this recognition:
Let’s say we’re working with a psychic hole around acceptance.
Earth is an infinitesimally small speck in the Milky Way (100,000 light years across containing 100-400 million stars).
This is the Laniakea Supercluster which encompasses approximately 100,000 galaxies stretched out over 520 million light-years. The red dot is where the Milky Way is.
The current best-guess size of the universe is 2 trillion galaxies.
The trouble with psychic holes is they reflect a disconnect from Being, a void in our psyche.
In our example of a disconnect from acceptance, here’s the reality of the situation:
If you could fit all the acceptance in the universe into a dump truck, back it up to the hole of acceptance and empty all that acceptance into the hole – it wouldn’t fill it. It would be smaller than that speck of dust, Earth, in relation to the universe.

Seeking to fill a psychic hole is an exercise in futility and frustration.
Here is the only remedy for the situation:

Hi all, an thank you for the site.
I’m an addict in recovery with the help of 12.-stepprograms (32 yrs clean and sober now) as well as a licensed psychotherapist.
And the hole-story reminden me about a time when i attended a lot of 12.-step meetings in Copenhagen. And suddenly irecognized a pattern when i spoke with other addicts; with one of their hands, they adressed the solar plexus area in the belly, when they shared about taking their drugs of choice; like: -It filled me up, -The hole disapeired, -I got a feeling of being alive and OK, and so on. They all grew up in dysfunctional households.
First i removed the inner critic, and then installed a core-state in the gut, making sure the hole was filled up, testing it. And job done. And the people who had gone through this process all tells me;- It holds!
Some practice is recommended, though. Actually a lot of practice! And i allways stay in contact in the first 3 to 6 months. As they say in Brittish Airways: Safety First.
In my private practice, i allways test for The Hole with my clients, as well as The Inner Critic; The Super Ego. You know, sometimes it is like someones father or mother suddenly takes over driving the bus, and you can se the shift, when the judge is entering the scene. As Richard Bandler once asked,-Who is driving your bus? Are you sitting in the back-seat letting your super-ego handling the stearing-wheel?
Thanks for your site, very informative and inspiring.
These days i’m in a study-group, Facets of Unity with som of my friends. Really nice….
And have a nice day, unless you have other plans….

Hi Lars – Thanks for the comment and contribution. It’s always nice to see people giving back and helping others. I think you might find Paul Hedderman to be a great resource. He is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict that tripped into the nondual. He holds weekly meetings on the nondual as well as meetings focused on recovery. Here’s his website: https://www.zenbitchslap.com/ and his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh_C52GReAWsMggLrvqQdUw If you go back to his early videos, you’ll find a few where he talks about his awakening. Very interesting guy.
Thanks again – john
